A one-stop source about accessory dwelling units, multigenerational homes, laneway houses, ADUs, granny flats, in-law units…
In the summer of 2013 Oregon DEQ conducted a survey of Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) owners. We received an excellent response from across the state and have published the ADU Survey Results on the Oregon DEQ website. As more ADUs continue to be built, we look forward to featuring innovators in the development of these flexible little homes.
We recently redesigned the AccessoryDwellings.org website so that we can feature ADU Case studies throughout Oregon. To get an idea of the type of case study we’ll be putting together, you can read Kol Peterson’s ADU: A Backyard Home. As the coordinator for the ADU Case Studies Project I have been impressed by the response we’ve received since sending out an email to ADU owners a week ago. Stay tuned for the first batch of ADU case studies, which will come out in the next couple weeks.
If you are an ADU owner, we would love to include your story. If you’d be interested in having your ADU featured, please email me and we can start right away.
Looking ahead, we’re also planning a couple of ADU tours in 2014. If you’re an ADU owner, please consider sharing your ADU with others for a day! If you’d like to visit ADUs, stay tuned for tour dates.
