A Practitioner’s Guide to Appraising ADUs

Appraisals for ADUs have always been tricky.  To help educate appraisers, real estate and finance professionals, DEQ, Earth Advantage, and AccessoryDwellings.org have developed a new guide to help summarize “best practices” for appraising ADUs.

The appraisal guide contains tips for both professionals and homeowners.  We hope you find this useful.  If you’re a homeowner with an ADU or you’re going to build an ADU , consider sharing this with your appraiser and lender early in the valuation process.
