A tour for people interested in learning more about ADUs and meeting the homeowners, builders, and designers who built them.

Last spring’s ADU told sold out, so this year we’ve doubled the size of the tour. Register for both days to see all 25 ADUs, or register for just one day- Saturday to see ADUs in NE Portland or Sunday to see ADUs in SE Portland. Full weekend package tickets limited to the first 400.
Schedule of Events
Friday, May 29th 6pm-9pm: ADU Workshop- Getting started with Permitting, Financing, and Design- presented by Kol Peterson (3 continuing education credits are available for Oregon Real Estate professionals through the Earth Advantage) The Friday evening workshop will be held at Alberta Abbey, 126 NE Alberta St. Portland, OR 97211.
Saturday, May 30th, 10am-4pm: Attendees take a self-guided tour of 12 ADUs in Northeast Portland at their own pace
Saturday, May 30th, 4pm-8pm: A free party with music by Alexa Wiley and the Wilderness, beer, S’mores, and six open tiny houses on wheels for all attendees at Caravan- The Tiny House Hotel. Open to the public for $10.
Sunday, May 31st, 10am-4pm: Attendees take a self-guided tour of 13 ADUs in Southeast Portland at their own pace
Use these quick facts to help you decide which tour days you’d like to attend. Addresses for the ADUs will be provided to registered attendees, beginning the week before the tour. Like last year, there will be a tour map app that attendees will be encouraged to use. This app will help attendees navigate from one site to the next.
Here’s the approximate locations of the ADUs that will be featured on this year’s tour. These are new ADUs; not repeats from last year’s tour.
**Guided Tours:
1) Lina Menard will lead a special guided tour on Sunday to share the inside scoop on the ADUs featured. Lina is the coordinator of the ADU Case Studies Project and a tiny house dweller and advocate. She will also share insights and information from the other 40+ case studies she has conducted. This guided tour option will also cost $60 and will be capped at 20 people. The tour will be conducted by bike, but a carpool option will also be available. This exclusive guided Sunday tour will go from 9:30am-4pm. Registration is available via Niche Consulting.
2) SOLD OUT. Eli Spevak, an editor of AccessoryDwellings.org, and professional developer, will be giving a tailored guided tour of the ADUs featured on the tour. Eli is an expert on ADUs, accessory structures, and pocket neighborhoods. This guided tour will provide contextual insights into the ADU design, regulations, and costs. Eli will be able to share valuable insights about ADU development as you make your way along the the tour route. This guided tour option will cost $75 and will be capped at 20 people. It will be a bike tour, but you can also drive to each location if you prefer. This exclusive, guided tour will go from 9:30am-4pm.
